About me

Hi I’m Laura,

One of the things that drew me to Kundalini yoga was the focus on body, mind and spirit. It’s wonderful - and vital - to move our bodies but what if, rather than viewing exercise as purely working out, it became something that could help us face the challenges of life more easily?

I spent much of my young adult life stressed, overwhelmed, and using avoidance strategies to get through the day. I worked in corporate events and though I was drawn to working with healing practices such as yoga I didn’t believe I could be a yoga teacher. Self-doubt said I wasn’t good enough, and that I needed a more secure salary, so I stuck with trying to find my happiness and self-worth in my work, relationships, food, and partying.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realised that the hustle doesn’t equal success for me. Living a life in flow and with intention makes me feel much calmer and happier. When I met my husband we left London for Berkshire and, on our quest to start a family, I replaced Friday nights at the pub with a yoga class and shifted my emphasis to living a more spiritual life. I noticed a positive impact straight away on my physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Fast forward to 2020 when my husband and I were facing a health-scare with our six-month-old daughter whilst parenting a two-year-old at the start of a pandemic. Like many, I was in crisis mode, and my daily yoga practice went from being a nice-to-do to an essential to get me through the day. Using the movements and breath work of kundalini, I found I wasn’t just coping in a crisis, I was thriving in the midst of adversity. This gave me a passion to help other women in the challenges they face and to get the best out of life.

I completed my 200-hours teacher training with the brilliant Guru Singh and Brett Larkin and now feel privileged to be helping other people feel good about themselves.

My passions are to help my clients:

  • Find, and listen to, their voice within

  • Be brave

  • Pursue the path they choose

  • Trust themselves

  • Let go of limiting self-beliefs and comparing themselves to others

  • Feel safe in their sense of self

I especially enjoy working with women who are at the beginning of their yoga and meditation journey, helping them find their purpose and apply the Kundalini principles to get the most out of their lives.

Supporting the neurofibromatosis community is a foundation of my business and for every class you take, I will donate 5% of the fee to Nerve Tumours UK.
